nmp essays :-(

Hi there everyone. I'm on nightshift tonight and have just finished my 5th of 6 non medical prescribing essays. I'm just wondering how many words people had to write on their competencies. I'm a Care of the Elderly ANP and am one of 9 ANPs doing this course at the moment in my trust. We've been sent by our managers to two different universities cos there's so many of us. What i can't understand is how 3 of the girls have 5,000 words in total to write about their competencies and the other 6 of us at another university have to do 6 essays of approx 3000 - 3500 words each. How on earth is this fair. My colleague has written just over 5000 words and i've already written 18,000 words with still one essay to go. My life has been on hold for 6 months!!! :-( sorry if i'm moaning but i'm shattered and it's 4 o'clock in the morning. lol :-)

I cannot understand why the non medical prescribing course varies so much in its content from uni to uni, surely it should be "standardised" throught out the country, regardless of which uni you attend.
Some are asked to write essay's or portfolio's, others are asked to do presentations or create a "Poster" presentation.

No essays - only portfolio - and even then the content wanted was short and concise and relevant to prescribing. I used to be a nurse teacher and there can be a lot of flexibility in course design. My prescribing course was over 3 months only with 8 college attendance days - short and (not sweet) bearable

I had to write 8 prescribing episodes with a reflective account totalling 3,000 - 5,000 words EACH episode!

4000 word rationale of clinical management plan and 4 critically reflective pieces covering nmc competencies.

I had almost the same situation before. I can totally agree that is not fair. But in that case, you can find some ideas or tips on the internet. And, from my own experience, in order to save your time, you can ask specialists to help you. I've personally checked online writing services reviews and, you know, I've used supreme essay guys help. They proofread my essays. So that wasn't such a big disaster for me.
Good luck and do not worry, you'll deal with everything!
